Offensive line coaching from a pro lineman.
Linemen rarely get 1-on-1 coaching. At O.P.T., it's the specialty. Learn the stance, steps and hand work that win at the line of scrimmage, from a coach who played the position professionally.
Coach Zac Saleski played offensive line in the Arena League and the CFL. Today he is the offensive line coach for back-to-back national champion Ohio State Club Football and was named NCFA Assistant Coach of the Year.
What we work on
Every session starts with where you are now and builds the fundamentals that coaches notice on film.
Stance and start
A balanced, repeatable stance and an explosive first step. Get off the ball low and win the first contact.
Hands and leverage
Hand placement, inside hands, and playing with pad level so bigger or faster defenders can't control you.
Pass protection
Kick-slide, set depth, anchoring against power and recovering against speed and counter moves.
Run blocking
Drive blocks, zone steps, double teams and combo blocks to the second level, plus pulling for gap schemes.
Football IQ
Reading fronts, communicating calls, and understanding your assignment so you play fast instead of thinking.
Film review
Break down your game film to find the habits that are costing you reps and build a plan to fix them.

Lineman questions
My son is big but new to football. Can private training help?
Yes. New linemen benefit the most, because good stance, footwork and hand habits are much easier to build early than to fix later.
Do you train defensive linemen too?
Yes. See defensive line training. Defensive linemen also gain a lot from learning how offensive linemen set up their blocks.
Can our whole offensive line train together?
Yes. Book a group session for up to 6 athletes, or contact us about a team package.
Can you help my lineman get recruited?
Yes. See recruiting services for consultations and ongoing guidance.
